Chun and I were so glad when we picked up our new car 2 weeks ago. It is a very comfortable car and I think this car is really cool. I don't dare to tell my schoolmates that I use this car to go to school with... ahaha. It is quite hard not to tell them because the only thing that is lately on my mind is our new car.

My nephew is now just 1 day old, I am so happy to become an auntie for the very first time in my life. Here are some pictures of him:

After four weeks of being harassed by Chun who wanted to convince me to watch The Incredibles together with him at the cinema, I finally agree just to let him stop nagging me. I really did not expect that this movie would be so entertaining. The movie contains many recognizable aspects of life that the makers presented in such a funny way, sometimes even hilarious. I think the funniest character was Dash, I wish I was so fast myself, so that I could run away from this bothersome Chun hehehehe....

Now, I can really take a rest! The last two weeks of December 2004 have been quite hectic... Christmas dinner, dinner with friends, dinner with family, meeting friends, spending New Year's eve with friends, New Year reception........ It almost drove me crazy. Starting from today, I finally will have some time to catch my breath. Sometimes I wish that I was just a simple farm girl in the middle of nowhere, but then I would probably be bored to that, so no matter how your situation is, it is never ok!

Restaurant is located in the Pakhuis at van vollenhovenstraat 15 in Rotterdam. It was quite busy today, but luckily, we did not need to wait for a table too long, because we arrived around 21:30.

Forstarters we had carpaccio of tuna and stewd duckbreast. I always like to try duck during the first visit of a restaurant, because duck is not that easy to prepare. I must say that the chief prepare it very well and Chun also enjoy his carpaccio very much.

The main dish, Chun chooses tournedos, because during last visit of this restaurant with his friends, it was a men only night, I was not allowed to be there, five of his friends had chosen the tournedos and they all recommanded it to him. Then I choose lambs cotelette, it tasted quite good.

The prices there are fairly reasonable. They vary from 13 to 18,50 euro for a main dish. The interior is a bit casual, but quite stylist.

Ces derniers temps, je veux vraiment trouver quelqu'un pour parler le fran?ais avec moi, parce que je me rends compte que mon Fran?ais n'est pas vraiment bon, en plus il semble qu'il devient encore plus mauvais puisque j'ai d?m?nag? ? Rotterdam. Je pense j'ai besoin de temps pour moi de l'am?liorer. Si je me d?brouille bien, je sais bien que j'aurai le temps pour faire quelque chose de plus!!

There are 9 chapters in this movie and you need to watch it to the last minute to understand what this movie is all about. Dogville is a ville Nicole Kidman came across when running from gansters. The inhabitants of Dogville all agree to hide her in return for her manual labour. But, when the pressure increses, the people of Dogville are becoming more and more demanding.

I, Robot is based on a novel written by Isaac Asimov, I haven't read this novel, but Chun did.
That was the reason why he especially recommended me to go watching this movie together with him. The story is about robots who have become the most phenomenon tools making human life much more easy. Because the technology improved so fast, people also felt the need for making those robots more humane leading into very interesting developments.

P.S.: Even if Chun hadn't opened his mouth, we would have gone to this movie anyway, because I am a fan of Will Smith... haha

Before we went out for dinner yesterday near the Erasmus bridge, we saw a lot of people near the river and someone was diving in the river. We were curious what was going on and decided to have our dinner in Cafe Rotterdam. The waiter told as that there was a girl who started up the car, that was parked close to the river, in the first gear so. The car then started immediately to move resulting her in to panic and jumped out of the car before it fell into the water. It sounded a bit ridiculous, because there was quite a big distance between the parking area and the river, but nevertheless it did happen.

We saw the whole scene with the police, water police, divers and tow truck all caming over to bring the car back on shore, because a big cruise ship is going to arrive within 3 days at that location.

The restaurant is located in an old entrepot. The service was very good. The people were polite and friendly. The food was OK. During the summer you can eat outside and that's what we did, so we have have a nice view on the river. A full course meal is reasonably price was around 30 euro per person. The wonderful view there is really worth a visit.
